Note: This message is provided so that SF State community members can make informed decisions regarding their personal safety and/or assist in apprehending an at-large suspect. It may contain information of a graphic nature that could trigger emotional responses for victims/survivors of sexual assault/sexual violence. On Tuesday, November 29 at approximately 10:43 a.m., a victim reported that an unknown suspect entered their University Park South apartment through a sliding window and stole their e-bike while the victim was sleeping. The burglary occurred sometime between 10 p.m., Monday, November 28 and 10 a.m, Tuesday, November 29. There is currently no suspect description.

If anyone saw or heard any part of this incident or may have further suspect information, please contact the San Francisco State University Police Department (UPD) at (415) 338-2222 or on the anonymous tip line at (415) 338-3030. In response to this incident, UPD is increasing patrols in this area of campus. SF State community members are encouraged to secure their windows and doors. Members are also encouraged to remain alert and observant. Please report any suspicious or concerning activity to UPD immediately. If you feel unsafe, contact UPD.

On Saturday November 12, 2022, at approximately 4:20 pm, a student reported being approached by 2 subjects wearing ski masks and wearing dark clothing while on the top level of Lot 19. They told the victim that they would need to take the victim's backpack but wear unsuccessful after a brief struggle. The suspects told the victim not to follow them and were last seen walking in the direction of the University Park North bike path. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident and there were no weapons observed during this incident. A thorough search of the area for the suspects by the UPD was conducted and both suspects remain at large. At this time there have been no other reported attempted robberies in the area, and this may be an isolated incident. The investigation and search for the suspects is ongoing, and if you have information regarding this incident, please contact the UPD dispatch at 415 338-2222.

On 8/23/2020 a Clery Timely Warning notice was sent to the campus community regarding an aggravated assault incident that occurred inside the Mashouf Wellness Center.  

A suspect has been identified and UPD is continuing the investigation. There is no ongoing threat to the campus community.

On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at approximately 02:40pm, a victim reported that they were involved in a physical altercation in the area of 755 Font Boulevard (SFSU Wellness Center). The suspect fled the scene across Font Boulevard, towards campus prior to the arrival of university police officers. University police officers conducted a search of the area for the suspect but was unable to locate them. During the physical altercation, the victim may have suffered a head injury and was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.

The suspect was described as an adult, approximately 30 years of age, heavy build, 6'5”, short black hair, beard with mustache, and wearing a black t-shirt.
